Dr. Sesia ist neben seiner Tätigkeit in der KTK auch am Inselspital Bern in der Thoraxchirurgie tätig. Die Sprechstunde bieten wir regelmässig in den KTK Räumlichkeiten an. Stationäre Eingriffe würden von Dr. Sesia im Inselspital Bern durchgeführt.

Saugglockenbehandlung nach Klobe
Das Prinzip ist, das Brustbein durch die Saugglocke/Vakuumpumpe anzuheben. Durch die regelmässige Anwendung der Saugglocke (anfänglich mindestens 2 x täglich jeweils 30 min pro Tag bis zu mehreren Stunden täglich) kann die Trichterbrust auskorrigiert werden. Die Behandlungsdauer ist abhängig von Trichtertiefe, Trichterform, Patientenalter (je älter der Patient, desto geringer die Brustwandelastizität) und Motivation, die Behandlung regelmässig durchzuführen. Komplikationen der Saugglockenbehandlung sind Hautrötung/Hämatom und sehr selten auftretende Parästhesien (Missempfindungen) um das Brustbein mit Ausstrahlung in den Rücken oder Arme. Meistens ist die Saugglocke die Ersttherapie bei PE, es sei denn, der Patient wünscht eine Operation. Kontraindikation (wann sollte die Saugglocke nicht angewendet werden) sind Anomalien der Gefässe bzw. Blutungsneigungen sowie bestimmte Knochenerkrankungen (z.B. Osteogenesis imperfecta). Vor Beginn der Behandlung ist ein Herzultraschall erforderlich. Die klinischen Nachkontrollen erfolgen alle 3 Monate in unserer Sprechstunde mit Bestimmung der Trichtertiefe und des erforderlichen Korrekturdruckes. Die Saugglocke kann im Liegen und oder im Stehen appliziert werden. Die Anschaffungskosten für eine Saugglocke, welche in verschiedenen Grössen existiert, belaufen sich auf etwa 750 CHF und werden von den Krankenkassen meistens nicht übernommen.
